Seldom Seen Way

{December 9, 2014}   My Task Master

In our Relationship – I am the structured one, the organizer, the one with OCD and love consistency/ritual.   I am the one that is more the Task Master than my own Sir.

He has learned over time that I need to keep busy otherwise I tend to mope/sulk/hibernate or all of the above at the same time.

This really came into play once Sir was working opposite shift than I was. All of a sudden I couldn’t have Sir at my “whim”/my schedule. It was a big blow to my Self – a part of me gone when I thought I needed Him most. I was ultimately spoiled.

To help me – He gave me the task of finding a way to incorporating a tracking system for tasks that I can do daily/weekly/monthly to move in a more forward direction. It is to keep me busy and not think about the clock in a negative way such as– it is 3pm I should be having my coffee time with Sir before I start my work day – and realize instead I am not.

The tracker I made/manipulated works wonderfully for me – quite simple to X what I have done or black out the square if it is a Day off like a Sunday. Before I would have Sir Time EVERYDAY and less time for domestic stuff due to my schedule for work and fitting Us time in. It allows me to get all the stuff I normally would do on the weekend during the week. It is like a mini competition with me to see what more I can accomplish and slowly add to the lists.

At the end of the week (Saturday) I email Him the tracker so that He can see what I have gotten done during the week – and it keeps me accountable.

When the weekend comes I appreciate the time that we get. I don’t want it to end – and we both make the most of it.

Here is an example of the sheet I use. With using an Excel sheet I can also date the tabs by week – so 52 tabs/weeks will be a year in one convenient place.

Anyway – this is what I have been up to lately – Me thinks I should add blog as an activity – at some point 🙂
